PAPER LACE WINE GLASS STEM MARKERS VICTORIAN STAR FLOWER HEART DOILY WEDDING ELEGANT

A beautiful addition to any party or event!
and a great way to mark glasses -so there are no mix ups!
I used simple candle cuffs to make these elegant stem markers.

Guests can add their name, initials or whatever - with a marker or pen you supply on table to keep track of their personal glass.

What you will need:

• 4" Candle cuffs - they are stiffer paper then standard doilies
• Double sided tape
• Scissors
• Stem Glasses
• Ribbon or other embellishments options

Cut a slit from one side of the cuff to the center opening.

On a pattern with "petals" I cut between them.

Slide cuff onto stem.

Gently overlap the two cut edges - this will make the cuff "tent up" and nicely fit over the base of the glass.
Add a bit of double sided tape to hold.

If you want to get very fancy add ribbon or other embellishments.

Ice Cream Cones decorated with Paper Lace Doilies

Arrange these pretty empty for guests to fill with the treat of their choice

Or place in a decorative container........

To make these pretty cones all you need are these simple items:

• Sugar Cones
• Paper Doilies
• Double Sided Tape
• Ribbon (optional)

To make these as simple as possible - I used cones and doilies that are the same size.
The cones measure 5"inches down one side and the doilies measure 5" inches across.

Please the cone in the center of the doily - with doily "good" side down.

Roll one side of the doily over the cone - keeping it close to the tip.

Roll the other side over 

Seal the flap with a strip of double sided tape.

I added a thin strip of ribbon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Okay are you ready to kick it up a bit! 

This example is a 5" gold round doily rolled the same way as described above.
However, I added a small cocktail napkin for convenience and extra style!

Again use a napkin that is approximately the size of the cone.

Fold the napkin in half.

Roll around the cone like the doily - just don't tape.

Hold in place and slide into doily.  (doily was wrapped around cone then removed.)




Okay one more style....I could not resist - 
However this style with the lace trim around the top of the cone takes some cutting - but is still pretty easy.

I used a 10" round paper lace doily (because my cones are 5" inches)
I will be able to get 4 5" wedges from one doily.

Fold doily in half.

Fold doily in half again.

Unfold and carefully cut along the creases.

You will have 4 pieces of equal size.

Place the cone in the center of one piece with the points lining up.

Roll doily from one side until the cone is completely covered. 

Voila! Cone with lace top !


No matter your style! Enjoy 

Ribbon embellished paper doilies ~ too simple and too elegant for words!

Take a simple doily add ribbon and now it says WOW !  Like most of my crafting examples all you need are some simple items and your imagination.

This is a great idea when you can't find doilies the color needed - and you would like to carry your color theme through out the party - whether it is a wedding, baby shower or some other special event!

You can use these embellished doilies as center pieces and envelopes......

• In this example I used a 12" paper lace doily and 1/8 wide ribbon.
• It is easier to use very narrow ribbon - you might want to test some from before you buy lots of ribbon for your project.

• I started going around the edge - pick a fairly open lace for your first projects.
• I don't cut the ribbon off of the roll until I'm finished...

Only things you will need to watch are not ripping the doily (if it is just a small tear - just use clear tape on back) and the ribbon "rolling or twisting" keep the ribbon flat for a neat look.

When you are finished - cut the ribbon - leave a enough to tie a bow if that is what you desire
